Appointment of New City Committee Treasurer
Chairman Daylon A. Davis is pleased to announce the appointment of Leeretta Payne as the Treasurer of the City of Pittsburgh Democratic City Committee.
Ms. Payne brings a wealth of professional expertise, financial stewardship, entrepreneurial leadership, and a longstanding commitment to public service. As the Owner and Certified Notary of Hill District Public Notary, LLC, she has dedicated her business to providing accessible and essential services to residents throughout Pittsburgh, with a particular focus on underserved communities.
Her educational background includes a Master of Science in Educational Technology Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh, equipping her with a strong foundation in organizational management, technology, and strategic problem-solving.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Payne has established herself as a respected civic leader. She is the former Owner and CEO of Legacy Café, serves on the Board of Directors of the Hill District Consensus Group, and currently serves as Vice Chair of Pittsburgh's 3rd Ward Democratic Committee. She is also an active member of the NAACP and the Pittsburgh Human Rights City Alliance, where she continues to advocate for economic opportunity, civic engagement, and equitable community development.
As Treasurer, Ms. Payne will oversee the financial integrity of the City Committee, ensuring responsible stewardship of its resources while supporting the organization's mission to strengthen Democratic engagement throughout every neighborhood in the City of Pittsburgh.
